Only one full day has passed since the end of the November 2011 Bridal show and I’ve already recouped all costs associated with it by booking a $5000 wedding. (This is before the parents buy the bride and groom any photographic gifts.) I’ve covered the cost of renting the booth, sponsoring Last Bride Standing as well as all associated costs with creating samples and flying my sister across the country to help man my booth.
It was an amazing show, well planned and executed. The number of couples that came through the door over the weekend has left my sister’s and my voice a little hoarse. We didn’t have time to get lunch or supper and barely any to drink water between speaking to so many potential clients.
The TBS passport/mystery booth draw was also a very effective tool in bringing potential clients to our booth. Those few seconds needed to stamp a card were plenty in order to create a meaningful connection with the couple and speak to them as well as assess their photographic needs.
Every time the fashion show ended we were swamped with couples, some waiting five or six minutes so we could spend a quality 30 or so seconds at a minimum to speak to each couple.
In all it was a very hectic and productive weekend.
I can’t wait for what is in store for the April show!
Sincerely,
